Audit smarter, not harder: the AI assistant redefining quality
Recently, our teams at BPA Solutions had the chance to leverage generative AI for our own eQMS. With BPA Q-Pilot, “Q”, our virtual assistant, we were able to support our quality team and all collaborators increasing productivity and reducing manual work. With the combination of Q and robust automation, we could successfully streamline time-consuming processes, as collaborator training, auditing and problem solving.
While preparing for internal audits, Q became a real gamechanger.
First, Q was used to search for clauses and chapters to comply with specific regulations (ISO 9001, 27001 in our case). Clauses and chapters were automatically updated in the eQMS. For the ones related to our software development audit, Q proposed audit questions and accurately answering them in the eQMS.

Once the audit checklist ready, we simply asked Q-Pilot to answer each question based on our internal QMS documents. The process was fully automated and delivered a checklist that includes answers for each question with related compliance documents.
With the accurate audit checklist at hand, we were able to start the audit and verify auditees were aware of existing documents.

In this particular use case, benefits were significant for us since with AI:
- we saved days for the audit preparation
- while auditing, we could focus on improvement actions rather than searching for documents.
